OnniTV offers geriatric remote rehabilitation, relaxation, memory rehabilitation, cultural programming, educational content, and music on weekdays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., as well as Swedish-language programming on Mondays and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. The channel is currently available in Finland.
The programs include exercises suitable for different levels of functional capacity. Exercise routines are repeated weekly so that movement sequences become familiar, memory stays active, and the best possible impact on elderly people’s functional capacity can be achieved. The remote services are designed in collaboration with professionals in elderly rehabilitation and distance learning, while also consulting experts from elderly care services, family caregiver networks, and senior citizen organizations.
In the Culture and Learning section, themes vary monthly. The programming includes, for example, remotely guided museum tours, group singing, exercise sessions, dance, and digital skills education.
OnniTV is available in antenna households in participating regions, as well as on the cable networks of DNA, Telia, Elisa, and Ålcom, and via online streaming on the OnniTV website. The OnniTV+ recording service is included in agreements with Finland’s wellbeing services counties and is available to professionals working in elderly care services and rehabilitation.
